POWTS TRAINING 

As a soil tester, designer, regulator and installer, CeCe's experiences in the onsite wastewater world give her a unique perspective to be able to assist many POWTS professionals. Whether you are working on getting licensed or you are an old hand at all this and are needing continuing education, you can check out some opportunities here.

WI POWTS

INSTALLER'S COURSE

This is THE course you will want to take if you are:

1) A learner or apprentice working towards taking your Journeyman exam

2) A Journeyman ready to take your Master exam

3) Anyone wanting to learn all you can about designing and installing POWTS in WI

 

This is a 3 -day in-person class where we go over all things POWTS in Wisconsin - including codes and component manuals, basic soils, basic POWTS design, pressure distribution design, POWTS installation, stormwater and water sizing. The class includes handbooks, study materials, hard copy codes and component manuals and unlimited assistance in preparing for your exam(s). Cost is $850 which also includes lunch and breaks each day. There is a $50 discount for WOWRA members. 16-18 hours of CEU credits are available depending on your POWTS license. CERTIFIED SOIL TESTER TRAINING

CeCe works with WOWRA (Wisconsin Onsite Water Recycling Association) to provide mentored Certified Soil Tester training opportunities with real world application. This is the class you will want to take if you are looking to become a Certified Soil Tester in Wisconsin or if you want to get quality continuing education credits for your CST license. There is 2 days of classroom training and exam prep followed by one on one or group field training sessions. The field sessions can also be arranged with a mentor near you so that you can experience all the ins and outs of soil testing. 12 hours of CEU credits are available for all POWTS licenses.

Throughout the year, CeCe assists suppliers and organizations with continuing education training opportunities. Combined with other speakers, these sessions provide quality learning opportunities and CEU credits for licensed individuals. Upcoming dates will be posted here.

POWTS MAINTAINER QUALIFIER

This class prepares you for being a POWTS Maintainer and upon completion, you will receive a certificate which allows you to obtain your POWTS Maintainer license from DSPS. Topics covered include code requirements, roles and responsibilities, basic wastewater treatment and dispersal in Wisconsin, pumps, blowers and advanced treatment. Registration includes lunch and breaks, along with handouts. Cost to attend is $75 per person. A 20% discount is provided if you are a WOWRA member.
